Técnico Solar Boat

A CEI tem como hábito ajudar no desenvolvimento de projectos inovadores, e mais uma vez, tem o orgulho de patrocinar projectos como o Técnico Solar Boat.
Técnico Solar Boat é um projeto académico levado a cabo por estudantes do IST, cuja paixão pela engenharia os uniu. Têm como principal objetivo levar um navio construído por eles a diferentes competições. Este navio não é mais uma mera embarcação, este é um navio movido a energia solar cujo o comprimento total é de 6m por 2,4m e dirigido apenas por uma pessoa.
Recentemente entraram na prova que aconteceu no "Monaco Solar & Electric Boat Challenge". Têm a ambição de continuar a participar em diferentes provas internacionais onde sejam exemplos da engenharia de excelência.

CEI has a long-standing practice of supporting the development of innovative projects and, once again, is proud to sponsor initiatives such as Técnico Solar Boat.
Técnico Solar Boat is an academic project carried out by students from IST, brought together by their shared passion for engineering. Their main objective is to take a vessel built by the team to various competitions. This vessel is not just an ordinary boat; it is a solar-powered craft, measuring 6 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width, and operated by a single person.
Recently, they took part in the competition held at the Monaco Solar & Electric Boat Challenge. They have the ambition to continue participating in different international competitions, serving as examples of engineering excellence.

O objetivo geral deste projeto foi desenvolver, testar, validar e demonstrar em ambiente real, dois protótipos industriais de equipamentos inovadores para a Pedra Natural, continuando com a estratégia LeanStone já validada com anteriores projetos de IDI em consórcio.

Síntese do Projeto
O presente projeto visa reforçar a investigação, o desenvolvimento tecnológico e a inovação. O Projeto FlexStone, liderado pela CEI, consistiu no desenvolvimento e demonstração em ambiente real de dois equipamentos totalmente inovadores para a Pedra Natural:
Equipamento para fabrico de tampos de cozinha por medida
Equipamento multifuncional para a fábrica de protótipos em Rocha Ornamental
Partindo de atividade de I&D concluídas com sucesso, a CEI pretendeu evidenciar, perante um público especializado de Empresas de Pedra Natural, Entidades do Sistema Cientifico e Tecnológico e outros sectores sinergéticos, as vantagens económicas e técnicas das soluções a desenvolver e avançar para a sua validação, de forma a posteriormente puder utilizar as soluções comercialmente.
Para a prossecução dos objetivos, os protótipos foram desenvolvidos pela CEI, apoiada pela INOCAM, empresa que desenvolveu o software, com demonstração em ambiente real em duas Empresas posicionadas no eixo de inovação: SOLANCIS e TORRE MARMORES.
O Consórcio foi constituído por duas Entidades do Sistema Científico e Tecnológico, Universidade de Évora e Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre, de forma a garantir uma ampla divulgação de resultados, potenciar a demonstração sectorial e intersectorial dos protótipos e assegurar competências necessárias que completem os objetivos do Projeto (ensaios e estudos).

The overall objective of this project was to develop, test, validate, and demonstrate, in a real operating environment, two industrial prototypes of innovative equipment for the Natural Stone sector, continuing the LeanStone strategy already validated through previous IDI consortium projects.

Project Summary
This project aims to strengthen research, technological development, and innovation. The FlexStone Project, led by CEI, involved the development and real-environment demonstration of two fully innovative pieces of equipment for the Natural Stone sector:
Equipment for the customized manufacturing of kitchen countertops;
Multifunctional equipment for a prototype factory in Ornamental Stone.
Building on successfully completed R&D activities, CEI sought to showcase—before a specialized audience of Natural Stone companies, Scientific and Technological System entities, and other synergistic sectors—the economic and technical advantages of the solutions under development, and to move forward with their validation, enabling their subsequent commercial use.
To achieve these objectives, the prototypes were developed by CEI, with support from INOCAM, the company responsible for software development. Real-environment demonstrations were carried out at two companies positioned along the innovation axis: SOLANCIS and TORRE MÁRMORES.
The consortium included two Scientific and Technological System entities—the University of Évora and the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre—to ensure broad dissemination of results, enhance sectoral and intersectoral demonstration of the prototypes, and provide the necessary competencies to meet the project’s objectives, namely through testing and studies.

Campanha de sensibilização em S. João da Madeira
Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens cria Labirinto Sensorial pela não violência
A Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens (CPCJ) de S. João da Madeira uniu esforços com uma associação de jovens, uma escola, uma empresa, um espaço comercial e dois grupos de teatro para lançar um desafio à cidade e à região sob a forma de uma pergunta insólita e inesperada: “A que cheira o amarelo?”.
O objetivo é despertar a curiosidade e a atenção do público, sem desvendar o mistério, cuja revelação está reservada para quem percorrer o labirinto sensorial que está a ser criado no Centro Comercial 8.a Avenida, em S. João da Madeira.
A inauguração desse espaço “3 em 1” – exposição, instalação e performance – está agendada para 25 de novembro, no piso zero daquela superfície comercial, numa loja junto ao espaço infantil, onde ficará patente até 6 de dezembro, podendo ser visitada gratuitamente.
O público terá a oportunidade de experimentar diferentes sensações (visuais, auditivas, táteis, olfativas) que remetem, de uma forma lúdico pedagógica, para diversas vivências familiares das crianças e jovens, numa perspectiva de sensibilização para a não violência.
“Propomos sensações contraditórias ao percorrer este Labirinto. Trata- se de uma proposta inusitada, sensorial, que propõe um espaço de confronto, mas também de reflexão e diálogo, para uma questão quase comum, estereotipada, que nos afeta enquanto comunidade” afirma Paula Gaio, presidente da Comissão da Proteção de Crianças e Jovens de S. João da Madeira.
O Labirinto Sensorial que dá forma a esta campanha de sensibilização resulta de uma coprodução da CPCJ com a Associação Ecos Urbanos, o Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Serafim Leite e a empresa CEI – Companhia de Equipamentos Industriais, Lda. com o apoio do Centro Comercial 8.a Avenida, do Grupo Oliveirense de Teatro Amador (GOTA), do Grupo de Teatro Oliveira Júnior (TOJ) e de outras instituições e empresas.

Awareness Campaign in S. João da Madeira
Child and Youth Protection Committee Creates Sensory Labyrinth Promoting Non-Violence
The Child and Youth Protection Committee (CPCJ) of S. João da Madeira joined forces with a youth association, a school, a company, a shopping centre, and two theatre groups to launch a challenge to the city and the region in the form of an unusual and unexpected question: “What does yellow smell like?”
The aim is to spark curiosity and capture the public’s attention without revealing the mystery, which will only be unveiled to those who walk through the sensory labyrinth being created at the 8ª Avenida Shopping Centre in S. João da Madeira.
The inauguration of this “3-in-1” space—exhibition, installation, and performance—is scheduled for November 25, on the ground floor of the shopping centre, in a store next to the children’s area. It will remain open to the public until December 6 and can be visited free of charge.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience different sensations (visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory) which, in a playful and educational way, evoke various family experiences of children and young people, from a perspective of raising awareness for non-violence.
“We propose contradictory sensations while walking through this Labyrinth. It is an unusual, sensory proposal that creates a space for confrontation, but also for reflection and dialogue, around an almost common, stereotyped issue that affects us as a community,”
says Paula Gaio, President of the Child and Youth Protection Committee of S. João da Madeira.
The Sensory Labyrinth, which gives shape to this awareness campaign, is the result of a co-production between CPCJ, Associação Ecos Urbanos, the Dr. Serafim Leite School Group, and CEI – Companhia de Equipamentos Industriais, Lda., with the support of the 8ª Avenida Shopping Centre, the Grupo Oliveirense de Teatro Amador (GOTA), the Grupo de Teatro Oliveira Júnior (TOJ), as well as other institutions and companies.

The President of Portugal, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, visited CEI on 13th of October 2014

A visita do Presidente começou às 16h30 com uma breve apresentação da empresa, conduzida pelos diretores Eng. Álvaro Gouveira, Eng. Agostinho da Silva e Eng. Fernando Sousa. Após a apresentação, o Presidente teve a oportunidade de visitar as nossas instalações numa visita guiada.
Para assinalar este evento, a equipa do CEI ofereceu uma lembrança, uma peça em Pedra Portuguesa da família Calcareos Moleanos, na qual foram realizadas pré-incisões com jato de água. As incisões foram preenchidas com resina transparente à qual foi previamente adicionado glitter dourado. Foram ainda aplicados alguns cristais Swarovski. Esta peça pretende associar as características de equipamento inovador de corte e gravação, desenhado por nós, à delicadeza e precisão da arte tradicional da ourivesaria.
A visita decorreu no âmbito do “Roteiro para uma Economia Dinâmica”, iniciado em abril deste ano, com o objetivo de dar a conhecer empresas nacionais que são exemplos de internacionalização e exportação.

The visit of the President started at 16.30 with a brief presentation of the company held by directors Eng. Álvaro Gouveira, Eng. Agostinho da Silva and Eng. Fernando Sousa. After the presentation, the President had the opportunity to visit our installations in a guided tour.
To mark this event the CEI Team offered a souvenir, a piece made in Portuguese Stone of the Calcareos Moleanos family, in which pre-incisions were performed with a water jet. The incisions were joined with transparent resin in which color gold glitter were previously added. Were further applied a few crystals of Swarovsky. This piece aims to associate the characteristics of innovative cutting and engraving equipment designed by us to the delicacy and precision of the traditional art of the goldsmith.
The visit was held under the "Roteiro para uma Economia Dinâmica," which begun in April this year with the aim of making known national companies who are examples of internationalization and export.

A 8.ª edição do concurso nacional “A minha escola adota um museu, um palácio, um monumento” teve lugar no dia 29 de maio de 2014, no Museu da Chapelaria, em São João da Madeira.
O anfiteatro do museu encheu-se de crianças, jovens e professores provenientes de várias escolas, de norte a sul do país, que se deslocaram a São João da Madeira para a cerimónia de entrega de prémios e para a inauguração da exposição dos trabalhos, realizadas no mesmo local.

8th edition of the national contest "My school adopts a museum, a palace, a monument" took place on May 29, 2014, at Museu da Chapelaria, in São João da Madeira.
The amplitheater at the museum was filled with children, young adults and teachers from various schools from north to south, who went to São João da Madeira for the awards ceremony and works exhibition opening, held at the same location.
